Please find to follow details of some of the fun activities we have coming up in the weeks and some important dates for your calendar. 

Jersey Day in aid of GOAL Friday the 9th of October

A big thank you to everyone who took part in our Jersey day in aid of GOAL on Friday. The total collected was €414 so well done to all.

Healthy Eating Week- Mon 19th Oct- Fri 23rd Oct

The Parents Council will be arranging a Fruit Day on Monday 19th October to promote the Healthy Eating Programme at St. Peter’s NS. We remind all families to ensure children have healthy snacks in their lunch box each day. Thank you to the parents for organising the fruit and guidelines will be followed carefully so fruit is distributed safely.

Halloween Celebrations – Witches Walk Friday 23rd October

The witches walk will go ahead this year but it will be a little different due to Covid-19. We would encourage the children to dress up in their costume of choice on Friday the 23rd of October. Weather permitting and abiding by the Covid-19 restrictions set out in the school, our annual witches walk will take place outside. We will be updating our website with pictures of the spookiest and scariest characters from each class.

Parents Council Halloween Draw.

The wonderful members of our Parents Council are holding their annual Halloween draw and they have an amazing Halloween Hamper up for grabs. Tickets cost €5  for 6 tickets and can be purchased online via a school payment link which will be sent out today. The draw will take place on Friday the 23rd of October and the winner will be announced in school.

Halloween Mid-term Break

The school will close for the Halloween mid-term break on Friday the 23rd of October at 2:40pm (1:40pm for Junior & Senior Infants) and will reopen on Monday the 2nd of November at 9:00am.

Photograph Day – Wednesday 4th November

Memory Lane will visit the school on Wednesday the 4th of November to take the children’s photos. Please be assured all their staff members have received the necessary Covid-19 training, they will wear masks, shoe coverings and gloves at all times. All orders will be placed online and will not come through the school. We will update you with more information nearer the time.

Drumming Workshops with Eamonn Cagney – Thursday 19th & Thursday 26th November  

 We are delighted to welcome Eamonn Cagney back to our school on Thursday the 19th and 26th of November. His drumming workshops were a huge success last year so we are sure the children will be extremely excited to take part again this year. The workshops will take place over two days and all the usual safety measures will be in place. More information will follow.

Dromiskin Tidy Towns Fundraising Appeal                                                                                

The amazing members of the Dromiskin Tidy Towns committee are trying to raise much needed funds to continue the staggering work they have been doing over the last number of months in the village. They are hoping to raise 20K in 2020 and you can help by checking out their Go Fund Me page BY CLICKING HERE  you can also check out their Facebook page for more information.

School Fees

Thank you to everyone who has paid their school fees so far! To anyone with fees still outstanding we would greatly appreciate your payment at your earliest convenience.
