SAFETY IN OUR CAR PARK

Update: April 2019

A new one way system has been established. We would like to remind anyone visiting our campus that the designated disabled spaces are for permit holders only. We are also conscious that the flow of traffic should not be obstructed, particularly in the morning, and would ask all parent dropping children to use the parking spaces and walking lane provided. We appreciate your continued support in ensuring our car park is safe for all children.

One Way

Concern is raised, continuously, about safety issues in the school/church car park. A small minority of parents/guardians do not observe agreed protocol by driving into and out of the car park at excessive speeds. With such thoughtlessness, there is always a real and present danger that one of our children could be struck or involved in an accident. This does not bear thinking about. As a matter of urgency we ask all who drive into the car park to observe the signposted speed warnings, use the marked parking spaces and have due regard for patrons, drivers and pedestrians, using the car park. Driving recklessly or abandoning cars in a haphazard manner shows scant regard for others. With proper timekeeping, respect and common sense this matter can be resolved to everybody’s satisfaction. The health and safety of our children is paramount. To sum up:

  • Enter and leave the school grounds slowly. Be vigilant at all times
  • Respect and be prepared to stop for the Traffic Warden
  • Don’t block the flow of traffic – use the car parking slots provided
  • Drop children at the walking lane and move on promptly
  • Please leave Disabled Parking slot free for those with disability
  • Take particular care when the car park is wet or icy

Thank you for your support
