A number of years ago parent Ann Babington conceived the idea of a school fruit ‘n veg day and since then it has become a fixture throughout the school year in St. Peter’s. Following on from this we also took part in the Food Dudes initiative under the auspices of Bord Bia. This has served to promote our healthy eating policy in Dromiskin and our young boys and girls have thoroughly enjoyed their tasty and healthy treats. Our Parents’ Committee has been central in implementing these events and many thanks to the volunteers who give up their mornings to serve out the food. The school acknowledges the continued support of sponsors Eamonn and Jackie from Country Fresh.
Our latest Fruit & Veg day took place on the 21st October – many thanks to the parents who came in to prepare and hand out the fabulous fruit and veg. You can check out some more photographs here.
