Well done to all the pupils, staff, parents and friends- even family pets for participating in our Walking Bus event on Wednesday 19th March. It was a tremendous success to see so many of our school community lining up from Commons Grove along Commons Road towards Centra and heading happily to school. It was a surprising bonus that the sun shone and it certainly added to the good humour and happy atmosphere. Thank you to the Dromiskin Tidy Towns Committee who were out in full force to support our I Like to Move It Move It Challenge for the Climate Ambassadors Awards. This is our third challenge, having completed Mulch Matters and No Power Hour Challenges in 2023. We have also supported Travel Initiatives which promote healthier options to using the car, ie walk, cycle, scoot, Park n Stride and Car Pooling. Many thanks to the Green Schools Committee, especially Conor and Killian for reminding children on a weekly basis to choose the greener option to travel and for continually recording the results for every class. They have reported that Wednesday’s Walking Bus included pupils- which is the best result we have ever had at St Peter’s NS. Well done everyone.
A great way to start every morning! Have a look at some of photographs here.
