We had high hopes for the GROW Awards and the Eco Tribe competition this year but we never expected what happened today! We were the highest marked school in ALL of Co Louth in the GROW Awards 2019, retaining our 5 star status with an impressive mark. This is down primarily to all the fantastic work with our transformed Incredible Edible garden and the new additions of our bee drinking stations and Infants cold frame. But there was more news to come when the Eco Tribes results were announced. Ms Lynch, Ms O’Rourke and the class representatives had their fingers crossed. When it was announced we won we were delighted but there was even more to come…..we broke the scoring record and managed an astonishing 99%!!! Woohoo Blackthorns! Congratulations to all the boys and girls from 3rd Class and Ms O Rourke, we are very proud of everyone! Well done to everyone – we will have a more detailed post up soon.
