The Louth Looking Good Awards were held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk. on Thursday 9th November 2017. We in St Peter’s were delighted to see our village do so well and to have played our part in this success. This follows on a 12 point increase in the village’s marks in the National Tidy Towns competition. 

Category D Housing Estate Overall winner – Church View Dromiskin

Category A Housing Estate – Rathbán – 3rd place 

Litter League Medium Section Villages – Dromiskin wins Gold Medal and overall winner with score of 94

Environmentalists of the Year – John Hanneffy and Henry Murtagh for their outstanding work with Dromiskin Tidy Towns and particularly their work in the newHeritage Park.

Best Tidy Towns Age Friendly project – the Heritage Park (including Ms Larney’s 3rd class Celtic Knot)

Best Waste Minimisation Award  – the Incredible Edible Garden on the school grounds – including our composter and wormery

Overall winners in the best kept towns and villages

Adjudicator Award – Dunleer 

Most Improved – Ardee
