The school is delighted to have reached the National Finals of the Spar FAI 5-a-side soccer competition. They have played 16 matches to get to this stage and we are so proud of coach Mr Mc Comish and his young players. The majority of the school is going to the Aviva Stadium on May 31st to support and cheer the lads on. The school will be closed on that day.
Five 53 seater buses have been booked to ferry the team, supporters (parents who wish to go and children) to Dublin. The players’ bus leaves at 9.30am sharp and the supporters’ buses leave at 9.45am sharp. A DJ, face painting, samba drummers and fun prize giveaways have been organised for the day by sponsors, Spar and all the children will be supervised. There will be a prize for the best supported School on the day. Be loud and proud and wear your Joes colours! Supporters are encouraged to bring flags, banners and face paints to ensure an electric and colourful event. Get practising our chants and school song now!
Cost per child is €10 including bus and €2 entrance fee and adults are €13 which includes an entry to the Aviva of €5. Buses will be departing for home at approximately 3.45pm (perhaps slightly earlier)
