St Peter’s NS Girls’ GAA Team Exhibition Match

Girls from 5th & 6th classes played an exhibition Gaelic Football match during the half time interval of the Louth vs Clare Ladies Gaelic Football match today in Darver Grounds, Sunday 3rd March. This was a much- deserved prize, having won a Seachtain na Gaeilge competition organised by Cumann na mBunscol. Thank you to their teachers, Mr McComish, Mr Smyth and Ms Rodgers for promoting Irish music, dance and language.

The girls played a friendly match against our rival school, St Mary’s NS, Knockbridge. It was a wonderful opportunity to show off their skills and teamwork. Afterwards, they were presented with medals by members of the Louth Ladies GAA team, including our own past pupil, Caoimhe Boyle. We wish Louth ladies the best of luck as they face Down and Sligo next.  Photographs here
