We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Gareth Curran for delivering the Cycle Right programme to our 4th class pupils.
The programme has been hugely beneficial, providing children with essential cycling safety skills while boosting their confidence and awareness on the roads. Throughout the course, pupils developed their proficiency and gained a stronger understanding of the rules of the road and how to cycle safely in real-life situations.
There were many positive outcomes from this initiative. Alongside the clear physical and mental health benefits of cycling, we have seen a noticeable improvement in pupils’ cycling ability and a growing number of children now choosing to cycle to school.
Most importantly, the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the programme. It has built their confidence and equipped them with skills that will stay with them for life.
We are very grateful to Gareth for sharing his time, expertise, and enthusiasm with our students and for making such a valuable contribution to St Peter’s school community.
