What a wonderful day on Tuesday 2nd March! We were blessed with good weather for our walking bus, which was being filmed by RTE. The segment is due to air on The Today Show with Maura and Daithi on Wednesday March 11th….so make sure you tune in! We were chosen out of all the schools in Ireland to be filmed as we were named Ireland’s Travel School 2019 and we are currently applying for our Green Flag for Travel.
It was wonderful to have the support of Dromiskin Tidy Towns on the morning, ensuring everyone had a safe walk along the newly renovated footpath. It was another great example of the strong partnership between the school and community organisations and is a reason why our walking bus is so successful.
It was also fantastic to see such a great turnout from parents, even if some did duck for cover when Dave the cameraman was near 🙂
However the real stars of the show were our wonderful students and staff. The enthusiasm was infectious among the children and they were fantastic representatives of our community.
