Santa Visits St Peter’s NS

Santa made a surprise visit to St Peter’s NS on Friday morning to check in with all the good girls and boys. Rudolph and his fellow reindeers are getting ready for their busy schedule on Christmas Eve so they couldn’t make the journey to Dromiskin. Thankfully Santa has wonderful local helpers who came to his rescue with a volunteer driver and a flashy motorised sleigh.

The children had plenty of time to ask questions about his favourite treats when he pops down the chimney on Christmas Eve night. Top of the list was a glass of cool milk and a chocolate cookie. Santa was quizzed on eircodes and he certainly knows the addresses of all the good children at St Peter’s. He even recognised the grandchildren of one or two families, remembering when he brought presents to their grandparents a few years back. We enjoyed singing Bualadh Bos (Jingle Bells As Gaeilge), We Wish You a Merry Christmas and both 6th class groups played Christmas tunes on their tin whistles to entertain Santa. The children enjoyed their Christmas treats from Santa and made sure to thank the volunteer elves for being so kind and thoughtful.

Happy memories of the visit are here to enjoy.

We wish you a Merry Christmas Santa and we promise to get to  bed early on the 24th December.
