Zeeko Internet Safety

Date For Your Diary! Internet Safety Talk

We have an important date for your diary for next year – yes, we are that organised! On September 24th there will be class seminars throughout the day for 2nd – 6th classes on internet safety and using various forms of technology safely. All staff are also receiving training after school.

We have also arranged a parental internet safety seminar on September 24th from 7pm – 8.30pm to focus on technology and internet usage and how to keep our children safe online. Given the ever changing technological landscape it is important for parents to stay up to date on how best to keep their children safe online. A shocking 17% of first class children will have been contacted by, or spoken to, a stranger online. The parental seminar will be tailored to the children from Dromiskin, based on questionnaires and surveys the children will complete before September 24th. We will be sending out more information in September but you can see some of the topics that will be covered in the flyer below. It would be great to see as many parents attend as possible! If you want more information you can contact Ms. O’ Rourke, the office or Zeeko directly.

In the meantime, please check out https://zeeko.ie/blog/ for parent tips on internet and technology usage.
