Cumann na mBunscol Quiz
The first round of the Cumann na mBunscol Quiz took place yesterday in Knockbridge. Two teams represented St. Peter’s N.S. and their hours of practice with the principal paid off on the day.
Teams representing Knockbridge, Dromiskin, Kilcurry, Kilkerley, Haggardstown, Kilsaran, Blackrock, Dulargy, Lordship, St. Francis NS were delighted to participate after a two year hiatus.
Well done to 6th class team members Donnacha, Deirbhile, Jaymee, Eoghan and Ross for a superb performance.
We are thrilled that 5th class team members qualified for the final which takes place on Tuesday 24th May. Having just been pipped at the post by St Mary’s NS for first place, our 5th class team were in a Tie- Break for second place against St. Fursey’s NS. They scored full marks in the Tie-Break to ensure that they advance to the final next week. There wasn’t a nail left unbitten by the parents present!
