Cumann na mBunscol Hurling Final- Winners of An Corn An tÁthair Sheáin Mac Domhnaill

Cumann na mBunscol held its Hurling Finals today in Darver.

Three boys from St Peter’s NS made history for us today as they represented our school as part of a combined team with pupils from St Mary’s NS Knockbridge to play in the Cumann na mBunscol Hurling Final against the combined Cartown NS/ Termonfeckin NS team.

It was a closely-fought contest with excellent displays of hurling skills. Well done to Ross Keenan and Donnacha Reidy on strong performances in midfield. Donnacha scored some fine decisive points while Ross continually supported the defence. A superb goal was scored by Charlie McCrave. The camaraderie between Dromiskin and Knockbridge on the day was good to see and no doubt these lads will play many more hurling matches with the Louth jerseys on their back.

It is the first Hurling Trophy to ever arrive back to St. Peter’s School.
An Corn An tAthair Sheáin Mac Domhnaill will be on display on our school corridor thanks to the fine work of these three young pupils.
