St Peter’s N.S. Green Schools Committee was delighted to work with Dromiskin Tidy Towns on their latest project at Ginnety’s Pond.
This is National Tree Week and thanks to Christina McCann, a delivery of native trees arrived today. The phone call for some help came from Chairman of Dromiskin Tidy Towns, Pat Mulligan. As you can see, the children were rushing to dig the holes, some better with the spade than others. We noted that the fifth tree from the fence was the one we have adopted as our school tree. It’s a beautiful Silver Birch tree.
Thank you to all the children who represented the school at this tree planting ceremony today. We can’t wait to enjoy this very pretty amenity.
