One of the the most special events in our community is the weekly coffee morning which takes place from 11am every Wednesday in the Joes Clubrooms. Locals drop in for a cup of tea or coffee, some goodies and a good old natter.
Ms Halpenny’s fourth class were delighted to be invited down on Wednesday 19 December to perform some of their Christmas carols. They gave lovely renditions of the the Little Drummer Boy, Silent Night, Away in a Manger, Calypso Carol, Mary’s Boy Child, Go Tell it On The Mountain, Bualadh Bos and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. All the carols were very well received.
Afterwards the children were given lovely treats and many thanks to the Coffee Morning Crew for their kindness. They do a wonderful job every Wednesday and we hope that the event continues to grow in 2019. Many thanks also to all the parents who ferried the children to the clubrooms from the school.
