On Friday we visited some of the many historical sites located in our village. The children were fascinated by the amount of history contained in Dromiskin. We visited the Viking ship, the Round Tower, the ruins of St. Catherine’s and St.Margaret’s churches, the high cross and we also saw a glimpse of Cromeen and Ardronan. The children were all very excited to figure out the location of ‘Hangman’s Hill’. We also got to explore some of the historical sites located on our own school campus.
Of course a trip out wouldn’t be complete without a stop for ice-cream before we returned!
