St Peter’s NS staff, pupils and parents wish the boys and girls of 2nd and 3rd classes the best of luck on their violin recital today. They have worked every school day with their violin teacher, Mary Quinn to prepare for their musical ensemble. This musical adventure is the result of a Peace Proms Initiative to introduce young people to the joys of playing a musical instrument. It is an intensive programme where each class receives an hour a day tuition. We thank the pupils for their enthusiasm and dedication and we are so proud of each child for their commitment to this music programme.
The recital takes place today in Coláiste Chú Chulainn at 2.30pm and we think their families and friends will enjoy the experience. 2nd and 3rd classes performed for their peers at school on Friday and all were so impressed by their performance that they received a standing ovation.
