This is a photograph of Ms
O’Rourke’s infant classroom.
The subjects that Infants
do are P.E., Maths, English, Irish, Music, Religion, S.P.H.E., S.E.S.E. and
Drama. They have jigsaws, toys and a home corner in their classroom. They
have a box of sand to play with. They have lots of games that teach them how
to spell. They start school at 9 o’clock, they have break time at 10.30 and
big lunch at 12 o’clock. They finish school at 1.40. They finish an hour
earlier than 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th,
5th and 6th classes. There are tables and chairs in
the infant classroom. They have two blackboards, and there is a whiteboard
between the two blackboards. They also have a library at the side of the
classroom.
