A TOUR OF OUR SCHOOL BY MS FARRELL'S CLASS

The Old School is situated in our school grounds.

It was built in 1927. It was used until 1976, when our present school was built. Now the Old School is used as a playschool, and the playschool pupils stay from 9am until 11.45am each day. Some teachers who used to work in the Old School were Mr. James Morgan and his son Mr. Jim Morgan who were both principals there. At one time, there were two schools there: a boys’ school and a girls’ school. No one was ever expelled from the Old School. There were open fires in the Old School until 1963, when central heating was installed. The desks had inkwells, and each morning one pupil had to fill each inkwell with blue ink.
