| !!! Spellathon !!! |
On behalf of the staff and Board of Management of St. Peter's N.S. we want to sincerely THANK the parents and children of our school for their recent efforts in our annual fundraising Spellathon. The whole school community is THRILLED with the amount raised and it is so heartening and humbling to all concerned, to see such support from the people of our local community and indeed further afield. Our children and their guardians have, once again, excelled themselves and these funds will be used to provide valuable resources for the school. We, in St. Peter's applaud your generosity. MÍLE BUÍOCHAS!
Congratulations to the eight children who raised the most money in their respective classes.

Operation Christmas Child ~ Sixth Class (Ms. Keane-O'Hagan)
|
Thank you to all the families who contributed. We collected more than 100 Christmas boxes, which are going to an orphanage in Armenia. It can be as cold as minus 15 degrees. The area is very mountainous and there are no roads. Donkeys will be used to deliver the boxes to the poor children. Many, many thanks for your huge generosity. |

We are participating in a project called the Crocus Project. It’s intended for pupils aged 11 and 12 years and upwards. The Holocaust Educational Trust of Ireland provided us and other schools with yellow crocus bulbs to plant in Autumn, in memory of the one and a half million Jewish children that died during the Holocaust. |
