Anti-Bullying Awareness week 2009
Our ‘Anti-bullying Awareness Week’ was a great success this
year.
A bully patrol system has been set up now as a result and sixth
class children monitor the situation in the playground. The
other children know that they can discuss any issues they might
have with the patrollers.
There is also a ‘Problem Box’ in the entrance hall of our school
where children can confidentially leave their comments or
problems. This box is checked by the bully patrollers and issues
are handled with the help of staff members.
Each child discussed the issue of bullying with their class and
their teacher.
Our notice board displays tips for children to help deal with
bullies.
Each family has also received an information booklet giving
tips, advice and useful website addresses. (If you did not
receive this please do not hesitate to contact the school)
Hopefully these changes will help to make our school a
‘Bully-free zone’.
