The children in Ms Farrell and Ms Keane O'Hagan's classes are extremely lucky as they have been learning French all year. What is even better, is that the teacher is our very own multitalented Ms Farrell! To celebrate all the work that both classes (and especially Ms. Farrell) have put in and to showcase their language skills, we are going to have a French Day in school! What's a French Day? Our previous French Day (see this link) had lots of art, sport, a talk from a French person and we got to sample lots of French food. Ms Farrell and Ms Keane O'Hagan's classes are in charge of the events (as they are the experts!) but the entire school participates. One of the highlights from last year was when the Sixth class taught the whole school a French song and we performed it together in the hall. This year we're hoping to add more activities. It's great to see all Ms. Farrell's hard work paying off! Below you will find links to online games that allow children to learn about France and the French language and to play games about France or the French language. There will be more activities added in the run up to French Day. If you have any other ideas, please let us know!
These games are useful to the children in Ms Farrell and Ms Keane O'Hagan's classes who are learning French. There are also some useful links and games for younger children. |
