On Tuesday 16th of June we boarded a bus and head off on our school tour. We visited Causey Farm in Co. Meath. You can see some of the highlights from our trip below....you might notice that we got a little mucky!!!!

TRACTOR RIDE TO THE BOG

It was a little bumpy! We sang songs the whole way there - everything from "Wheels on the Bus" to "Hannah Montana!"

THE WALK THROUGH THE FOREST

TALK ABOUT THE BOG

We learned some interesting facts about the bog. Did you know that turf is cut with a tool called a sleán?

INTO THE BOG!!

After our talk we walked down to the "bog hole" where we went for a little swim.... in the MUD! It was great fun and we got more than a little dirty! (At least we had a change of clothes!!)

THE BUS BACK TO THE FARM

The singing started again!

THE BUBBLE ROOM

VISITING THE ANIMALS

We got to visit the animals on the farm and we fed the horses with grass and we met Shrek the Donkey and Billy the Goat.

CLAY

We had a fantastic day and would definitely go again!!
