Writing Workshop in First Class
~ Ms. O'Rourke's Class
<<Back to FIRST CLASS PAGE 2008/9
Every day we do something in our class called Writing Workshop. This is the time when we get to practice being authentic authors. The focus is on crafting real stories where we focus on characters, setting and ways to make our writing interesting. We write for 30 minutes and then we share our stories with a group, our teacher or the class. The main idea in writing workshop is to.... WRITE! Because our stories have become sooooooooooooooo long, we've decided to add a separate page to our part of the website to showcase stories that we really liked in the class. Hopefully you will enjoy the stories! If you do, please email us - authors love feedback!!!!
