We learned how to make sock puppets in art in school. Our teacher, Ms Keane, gave us inspiration and showed us an example of an exciting sock puppet that had been made by her daughter. We thought it would be great fun. We brought in our large sports socks and got paint and materials to decorate them from the art store room. We all got to pick our own decorations and we used a variety of glue, glitter, pipecleaners, buttons, beads, etc… and we covered them with lots of vivid colours. We have been using the sock puppets to do oral Irish in class. It is great fun!
