img_34864th class in St. Peter’s N.S. Dromiskin have been learning about old things from the past. Here are some of the items that we brought in from our homes: A money clock, record disc, Titanic book, cursed cross, old bike lamp, salt cellar, old coins and money notes, an old camera, etc. Each person in the class had to bring in one or two items from the old times.  Some of the things are quite precious and even valuable.

Two people brought in objects each day for about 3 weeks, and they told the history of their artefacts.

We had lots of interesting objects. There was a money clock which you can wind up and add money in a slot on the top. Another item was a smoke grenade with a string at the top which you pull and then it lets out tear gas and blows up! Today you cannot blow it up and it is all rusty. I brought in a silver salt cellar which was given to my great-grandmother as a wedding present. In the olden days, people didn’t know that salt was so bad for them and they spooned it onto their food! Two children brought in record discs (Fame and Michael Jackson) – people used to play these records on record players and dance to the music.

I hope you enjoyed reading my report on 4th class historical artefacts.
