THE HISTORY OF ARDRONAN
In 1692 the Glebe House and
enclosed garden was built in an area called Laragh Kill
at a cost of £281-10-9, but was
later renamed Ardronan.
It was built as a rectory for the Rector of the Church of Ireland in
Dromiskin.
An account in 1703 states: “The house the minister lives
in is near to the Church; a pretty little box of a house with a garden, stable
and other convenient outhouses belonging to it.”
Dr. Flanagan lives in Ardronan now, and we interviewed her
about her home.
